Experience

I am available For Mathematics Tutoring, for the levels SAT, GCSE, A-Level, and first year Undergraduate. I started tutoring during my A-Levels, where I tutored year 9 Maths classes and year 7 Physics Classes, and realised that I enjoy teaching and gain satisfaction from helping other students achieve their full potential. I am very patient and motivated. I am aware that Maths is a very difficult subject, and without some enjoyment is very easy to give up. Students have a very busy schedule so extra tutoring should be as fun as possible! I will provide revision material, and I am very good at breaking down complex ideas to simple points, and I know some very good study techniques. My overall aim is to make sure the student understands the concept of the topic and learns how to undertake independent study rather than just spoon feeding information in a boring manner. My experience in tutoring includes: -Teaching Lower Set Secondary School children Maths and Physics. -Student Mentor for first year Undergraduates. -Maths Doctor. -Undertaking my BEL (Basic Expedition Leader) Award. -Tutor Place Tutor. -First Generation Scholars Tutoring Scheme. -Casually Tutoring friends. -First Year University Results: First Class -A-Level results: Maths: B. Hobbies

From a young age, I have been interested with puzzle solving and Strategy games, including Sudoku, the Rubix Cube, Chess, and enjoy attempting Mensa problems online for mental exercise and stimulation. I am undertaking German lessons, and I enjoy Baroque/Classical music with my favourite composers being Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Handel, Chopin and Debussy. I enjoy exploring and travelling, reading and recreational Maths in the form of impossible Maths Puzzles e.g. there are no odd Perfect Numbers, and improving my mental arithmetic with clever tricks. I do volunteer work in the form of helping schools with expeditions and/or training, and of course I enjoy tutoring!
