Experience
I am an experienced and qualified teacher and private tutor, who has been working in primary and secondary education for just over 10 years. My work as a classroom teacher has included specialisms in French, ICT and Maths, while I have tutored extensively in Maths, helping students of all ages achieve their required grades at examinations. These exams have been for school entrance, or for GCSE (external exams), and the age of my pupils has extended from 5 to 30! I have many strategies to engage learners of all characters. For many young learners, I devise board games and dice games, while also running extensive practice through drills. For older learners, I use the sequence Model/Support/Independent Work/Repetition. I have specific experience in tutoring pupils with Aspergers and Dyslexia.
