Experience

I worked as a Tutor/Teaching Assistant for one year at the company 'Kumon', teaching Maths and English to 5 - 15 year-olds. Gave educational lectures/assemblies to 14 - 16 year-olds on behalf of the Holocaust Educational Trust's Lessons of Auschwitz Project. A*, A, B, B for A-levels (General Studies, History, Psychology & Theatre Studies) Volunteered for the charity 'Out & About' which allowed activity opportunities to children with mental or physical disabilities. Also experience working in nurseries and babysitting with young children. Accepted onto An-Najah University's Zajel youth project program, teaching English and discussing International Relations with Palestinian and International students.

Hobbies

As a university student hoping to become a secondary school teacher, I am extremely fond of both studying and teaching History. But I also have great interest in the English language, and in literature. I am therefore very passionate about both disciplines and thoroughly enjoy reading and discussing such areas of interest as a hobby as well as for a profession. Moreover, still being a student myself I understand the importance of access to one-to-one tuition, encouragement and individual ability and learning style. Being a twenty-year-old, and having worked with very young children, I also have a lot of energy and enthusiasm for social interaction. I believe this is extremely useful when engaging with and hoping to teach adolescents, each with their own differing opinions, interests and learning styles and abilities. Aside from reading, studying and teaching, in my spare time I also enjoy running, have great interest in current affairs, art, psychology and counselling, and am attempting to learn Spanish.
