Experience
I have lived in the South of France for six years, and attended both high school and college in France. After many years of lessons and exams and socializing with French friends I am able to speak both colloquial and formal French. In my opinion I would make a good tutor as I have had the experience of learning a second language in a foreign country. As an English speaker who learnt French from native speakers, I hope to be able to pass some of this knowledge onto other students. Living in a foreign country is an incredibly life changing, inspiring and fulfilling experience. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn a second language; it has given me so much confidence in myself and has also opened up so many doors for me. By tutoring others I would be able to help them on their way to mastering a foreign language and let them experience the excitement that comes with learning it.

Hobbies
My main interest has always been literature, and I am currently studying English Literature at the University of Sussex. I enjoy mainly 20th century works such as A Room With A View by E.M. Forster and The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Some of my favourite French works are Le Dernier Jour d'un Homme Condamné by Hugo and Le Petit Prince by Saint-Exupéry.
