I am currently studying a MA in Social and Political Thought at the University of Sussex. I previously graduated with a First Class BA in History and Sociology from the same institution.
Experience
I have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant during a summer school for students requiring assistance with literacy, held at Castle View School in Essex. Prior to my studies I was employed as an architectural technician within a large architectural practice, where I was responsible for training on Computer-Aided Design software and general IT. I was also responsible for mentoring new staff and I enjoyed sharing my skills with others. It was during this time that I decided to pursue a career in academia, with a view to becoming a tutor on a permanent basis. During my time studying for an MA in Social an Political Thought I have mentored other undergraduates in Philosophy, Sociology and History as part of a programme to help disadvantaged students, a role which I have enjoyed immensely.
