I am from Mexico, studying a Masters in Development Studies at University of Sussex with a scholarship from my government. I studied a BA in International Relations, top 16% of my class.

Experience

I am keen of teaching and transmitting ideas and concepts related to contemporary political history, development paths and different systems of governance. I have experience working with young people, since I have volunteered for two associations in Mexico which have programs for these sector. I have a great command of English, with an IELTS score of 8.5 out of 9 and know about Formal Academic Writting due to my studies. I also lived in Montreal 6 months as an exchange student, where I gave tutoring in Spanish to two of my fellow classmates. I worked formally during 3 years for a Consultancy Firm where I had to develop Training Strategies for companies' employees; therefore, I gained general pedagogic knowledge.

Hobbies

I LOVE to travel. When I was 21 years old I did 90 days backpacking trip throughout Europe, I have also been in several cities of Canada and the US. Above all I love going to distant places in Mexico, where contact with nature is easy. Going to small lost towns in the Sierras or fishing virgin beaches. I consider myself a born volunteer; since I have 15 years old I have worked for associations in different matters from religious to protest. I think it is necessary that all human beings develop this side of them; when you help the "other" the one in "need" you become aware of your own capacities and power for changing what you dislike. I also love to have fun and dance a lot; being Latin I think I have it in my blood.
